If you have children, or if you’ve been around children, then you might know about Silly Bandz.  They are those silicon bracelets that sell for way too much money in the store and that are now banned in most schools across the country because students like to “snap” each other like rubber bands.

An ad for Silly Bandz may have existed at some point in time.  I have no idea.  I do know, however, that my three children have been infected with the Silly Bandz wave, and as a result, I ended up spending what seemed like a hundred dollars.

This is a called a fad.  (All those Silly Bandz now sit in the back of a little pouch, forgotten.)

I’ve been having a little bit of writer’s block lately and I am totally bummed out.  I started off my book with a big bang, writing every day and pacing myself pretty nicely.  Then, all of a sudden, I seemed to have hit a brick wall.

Well, it just so happens that I got a shipment in the mail today, and inside was a book called 45 Master Characters.  I ordered this book along with my other one, and it got delayed.  I was totally psyched to get it in the mail. Read the rest of this entry »

Last Week’s Word Count: 7,324

This past week, I started off with 9,930 words and ended up with 7,324 words.

No, I didn’t end up editing my book.  Not really.  I ended up organizing my book.

This past week, I bought this fabulous book called the Marshall Plan.  Taking its advice, I stopped all writing and outlined my entire book using his method.  (I did have an outline previously, just not as developed as it is now.) Read the rest of this entry »
